In 1994, together with Alain D’Hooghe and Patrice Junius (for the layout), I started Themes magazine. It lasted 5 issues and I lost a bunch of money because of an overly optimistic business plan…
Issue nr 1, of which there are but a few copies left, can be downloaded here (14.5Mb). The four other issues are still for sale and can be obtained at Librairie Husson (after the holidays)… Michel Husson is a publisher of fine photography books himself. His bookshop, focused exclusively on photography books, is definitely worth a visit when you’re in Brussels.

Marina and I published a photo magazine two….we only last months…(we did it in partnership with the Photo Gallery that used to represent us)….
Marina was the editor…i was the writer…..and we published lots of work (but NEVER our own)…trying to publishe/promote work in toronto and quebec……
alas, we lost too, lots of time, money, emotion….someday, i’ll send u the PDF’s…if you want…???…
I just downloaded the PDF….damn, that’s magnificent…..both the photo essays and the amount of written content….just great….
that’s what i’d hoped for burn
))….but, well, my compass wasn’t in line with the 2 captains…oh well….
