Old Squares

Just updated my website with a set of old square pictures…

    LOVE THEM….they’re Parr, Pre-Parr ;) )))))…actually, they reminded me of 2 things:

    W.G. Sebalt’s book ‘The Immigrants’

    AND

    Mark Powers b/w work…

    but these pictures came BEFORE Sebalt’s book and Mark’s work….

    just making visual/emotional associations…

    you should write Mark and tell him he should look at these!….he’d love them too….

    (mark and i spent some time telling stories and drinking beer when he was here for the Magnum Workshop)….i LOVED powers…as a photog, and as a person….ironically, he is the one with whom i had the best conversations, and the person with whom i actually felt i was having a real ‘friendship’ and great time with…..and that’s even more than the 2 magnum dudes i’ve known for some time ;) ))…

  2. SORRY…that link to Mark’s page doesnt take you to the 2 essays…

    the 2 essays are is MAGNIFICENT Poem: The Shipping Forecast (which is one of my favorite magnum essays, period) and Beyond the Facade…

    i cant remember…i think i wrote those from the school computer…but, im using my wordpress login….

    ALL my comments from Burn go to spam, and anton/david was retrieve them…it has something to do with WordPress, im ‘black-spammed’ by them ;) ))…

    maybe it was all the links i use to send to Roadtrips…who knows…

    anyway, love the work…
