Before heading for the Kambol KR trial, there was a demo demanding the release of Aung San Suu Kyi in front of the Myanmar embassy.
Just wondering: are her tormentors eligible for a similar trial?

CAMBODIA. Chhoeung Ek (Phnom Penh). 20/05/2009: Reenactment of Khmer Rouge atrocities during Hatred Day. Initiated in 1984 by a regime seeking legitimacy, Hatred Day commemorates the directive of collectivism planned by Pol Pot. The celebration was stopped after the 1991 Paris Peace accords but was still attended to in the provinces. Phnom Penh reinstated it in 1999.

Quite a boring morning for the first day after two weeks of recess at the Duch trial at the ECCC… Just got back in Phnom Penh when I heard that Craig Etcheson is testifying. I guess he’ll still be out there tomorrow…
