Follow-up

Friday, April 18th, 2008

Here is a follow-up on the Clear Water fire. The people whose house was destroyed in the blaze have received a temporary authorisation to set up camp on a piece of empty land nearby. Christian organisations distribute mosquitoe nets, hygiene kits and the like. What the next step will be for what appears now to […]

Another slum gone…

Friday, April 11th, 2008

Another slum is gone, gutted by a 5 hour long fire which destroyed the village of Toeuk Thla (Clear Water) in Phnom Penh. Over 200 families will have to look for another place to stay during this Khmer New Year. (Story Nr VIJ2008027)

Khmer Chronicles Nr 7

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

The Khmer Chronicles Nr7 is on Magnum’s weblog. Shot some pictures of motorcycle dealers yesterday (story nr VIJ2008018G). Kambol (Phnom Penh). 4/02/2008: Press and public canteen during first appearance at the pre-trial chambers of the ECCC (Extraordinary Chambers at the Courts of Cambodia) of Mr. NUON […]

Brother Nr 2

Monday, February 4th, 2008

I just updated my website with a set of pictures in the Khmer Rouge Trial story. NUON Chea, Brother Nr2, was in front of his judges at the first pre-trial hearing for this former Khmer Rouge leader. The trial chamber is quite small so only 5 photographers and two cameramen were allowed in, pooling for those […]
