Spotlight/Love Parade
Was it Berlin? No, just Phnom Penh. But not as usual… Yesterday EPIC Arts and several other NGO’s organised a colourfull Spotlight parade (VIJ2008011) along the riverfront. The motto was ‘Look at their abilities, not their disabilities’. It was great fun for the kids. They can be proud of what they achieved. And the message was loud and clear… But with the chosen (?) itinerary and timing the spectators ended up being more ‘barang’ than khmer. Was the purpose to get the message across the foreign community or the cambodians?
