Boeung Kak on the Embassies tour…

The Boeung Kak Lake community found the time, after yesterday’s commemoration, to organise a tour of the Embassies to deliver a petition requesting the release of Yorm Bopha and Borei Keila‘s Tim Sakhmony. To symbolise their right to a decent housing they wore nests with eggs on their head. But the police was there again to prevent the community to leave its nest as it had set up a blockade at the exit road of Boeung Kak. It took at least 30 minutes of yelling and pleading before they were allowed to cross the blockade, as long as it happened in tuk-tuks and not on foot.

This is a follow-up post on the ‘Quest for Land‘ story which is available as an iApp on iTunes.
