Boeung Kak Lake Ladies Back on the Horse
After having been dispersed and arrested during the previous demonstration in front of the municipality, the Boeung Kak Lake Ladies, under threat of an eviction, came back undeterred yesterday to deliver a letter to the authorities requesting a fast resolution of their problem. The rains have only just begun to fall and their property is already flooded, as the development company Shukaku Inc. keeps filling the drainage lake with silt from the Mekong.
