CAMBODIA. Phnom Penh. 11/12/2009: Construction of a pedestrian bridge to Koh Pich Island development, financed by Canadia Bank with an initial involvement of 7NG company, famous for the violent Dey Krohom eviction. About 100 families living on the island and providing Phnom Penh with vegetables cultivated on the 70 ha of fertile soil were evicted in 2005. They were offered 2,5$/m2 whereas at the time the land was valued at 20 to 24$/m2.
