Honouring the dead…
4 years ago union leader Chea Vichea was assassinated while buying his newspaper. Two men, Born Samnang and Sok Sam Oeum were arrested and sentenced to 20 years in prison during a trial which is considered by many as a mockery of justice. About 10000 people attended the funeral 4 years ago.

Today about 100 sympathizers and Sam Rainsy Party MP’s and 40 journalists attended a ceremony to honour the charismatic leader while 60 policemen kept an eye open and took care of traffic.
