Now they are blogged
They were never published on the weblog until now… I think…
The ‘Boeung Kak Lake‘ eviction story, starting in 2008 on my website was updated with quite a few new pictures lately. You’ll find them towards the end of the (long) series.
CAMBODIA. Phnom Penh. 30/12/2010: The remains of a house destroyed during the eviction of Boeung Kak Lake.
CAMBODIA. Phnom Penh. 24/05/2012: Demonstration in front of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court of Boeung Kak Lake residents supporting their 13 fellows arrested on May 22nd.
CAMBODIA. Phnom Penh. 21/05/2012: Members from the evicted Borei Keila community joining Boeung Kak Lake residents demonstrating again in front of the Phnom Penh Municipality about the delimitation of the land allotted to them for an on-site development next to the Shukaku Inc. concession which filled the Boeung Kak Lake.
CAMBODIA. Phnom Penh. 16/09/2011: Inhabitants eat under a sign reading: 'No house, no life' and 'I'd rather die to protect my house'. They were awaiting the eviction of Boeung Kak Lake residents excluded from the 12.44ha granted by Prime Minister Hun Sen to some 750 families for on-site relocation.
And a reminder: ‘Quest for Land‘, 11 years of land issues in Cambodia for the iPad is available on iTunes… Here is the Youtube teaser…
