LAOS. Kassia. 06/10/1993: Rice harvest of Hmong tribe. Sickle to reap early rice. The stems are cut at a height of 40 cm and left to dry on top of the remains.
BURMA. Mong Kar (Wa State). 10/11/2003: Rice harvest in paddy fields. UNODC has built irrigation canals in the area allowing several crops of rice a year. Their main concern is that the newly irrigated land will be occupied by Chinese immigrants.
