Sandy? Obama? Meanwhile in Phnom Penh…

In the Boeung Kak Lake and Borei Keila saga, Tim Sakmony and Yorm Bopha were denied bail this morning at the Appeals Court. Tim Sakmony, who was arrested because she had demonstrated after having had her house destroyed during the Borei Keila eviction, was refused bail because she had no proper house! Both communities showed support by demonstrating in front of a barricade set up to block access to the Court during the proceedings.

This is a follow-up post on the ‘Quest for Land‘ story which is available as an iApp on iTunes.
