Donor’s Meeting…
The Boeung Kak Lake and Borei Keila communities tried to put pressure on the donor countries which were having their annual meeting with the Cambodian Government. Basically they were saying: ‘Link the amount of money you are promising to improvements on the Human Rights situation’… In 2011 about 1/3 of the annual budget came from the donor countries. The problem is that China gives about 1/3 as well. And they don’t ask that many questions regarding Human Rights…
There was a lot of police around, but they wisely intervened only by redirecting traffic…
