Boeung Kak lake still kicking…

Several residents of Boeung Kak lake whose house was recently destroyed by Shukaku Inc. development company with the help of a unit of riot police, received a summons from the Court of Justice: they have to answer questions about death threats they supposedly uttered against Commune Chief Chhay Tirith. But… but… wasn’t Commune Chief Chhay Tirith one of the people responsible for the violent eviction of Sept. 16th? So who was a threat for who?

CAMBODIA. Phnom Penh. 6/10/2011: Boeung Kak lake residents whose house was destroyed by Shukaku Inc. development company, rebuilding their house while waiting to comply the court summons which says they threatened the life of Commune Chief Chhay Tirith.
