Belgium does better than Cambodia!!!

Between July 27th 2003 and July 15th 2004, Cambodia was without a government. Today Belgium has surpassed this record: 353 days…

And Elio Di Rupo, the MP negotiating with the various Belgian political parties to form a new government, literally having no voice, Belgium goes for a difficult to beat record…

CAMBODIA. Phnom Penh. 4/10/2003: 60 days after elections, the new National Assembly was supposed to meet. Only the elected members of the CPP (Cambodian People's Party) showed up. Elected FUNCINPEC and SRP (Sam Rainsy Party) members, contesting the election results and gathered in a newly formed Democratic Coalition, refused to endorse the new National Assembly by not showing up.  King Norodom Sihanouk then invited all three parties to the swearing-in ceremony at his place. Deputie's cars waiting outside Palace.

Parliamentarians voting in favor.
