The visit to Banlung in 1989 was a bit frustrating. We went by helicopter, landed, were guided to the hospital (one patient) for ten minutes, to the school for five minutes and were then invited to a two hour banquet with a roasted piglet at the governor’s house before flying back to Phnom Penh.
