End of the itch

I met the deadline for the MM on the Khmer Rouge Tribunal to be projected during the PPPhoto festival end of November… Now it is up to the censors to see if you’ll see it there. If they don’t let it through I’ll make it available as a podcast on my server.

So now back to the normal business again… evictions…

CAMBODIA. Damnak Trayoung (Phnom Penh). 15/10/2009: Evicted from Dey Krohom nearly one year ago, some 135 families who were renting a house and therefore are not entitled any compensation, were dumped 20 km outside of Phnom Penh. Sanitary conditions are deplorable. Without running water, sewage system, electricity, or job opportunities, the evicted are worse off than before. They received a letter asking them to leave yet again before October 15th.

CAMBODIA. Damnak Trayoung (Phnom Penh). 15/10/2009: Evicted from Dey Krohom nearly one year ago, this 15 year old, second in a family with 6 children, is the only one going to her former school in Phnom Penh and also attends Aziza art classes. Her father, employee at the Senate, brings her to school, with his motorbike, a daily 20km ride.
