For over two months more than 400 people from various parts of Cambodia have been camping in a park in front of Wat Botum. They all were evicted from homes they sometimes were living in for over ten years and try to claim back the land they lost. 80 percent of Cambodians depend on land to survive. The proportion of landless people, very often because of land grabbings or eviction, is growing, adding to a general feeling of helplessness and Injustice among the poorer Cambodians.
