Some more rice for Ji-Sook… The ladies fingers are for tomorrow…

LAOS. Kassia. 12/10/1993: Rice harvest of Hmong tribe in a field of the Chung Po family. Threshing of the rice to separate the grain from the chaff.

CAMBODIA. Wat Sleing (Kandal). 29/12/2005: Rice harvest.

BURMA. Saung Keh (Wa State). 28/02/2004: Villagers preparing field for summer rice. The villagers were relocated from higher hills. 10% died from malaria on the first year of their relocation.

NIGER. Toula. 07/12/1985: Rice harvest in an irrigated perimeter along the Niger river.

CAMBODIA. ODonpov (Battambang). 13/02/2001: Ox killed by anti-tank mine while Mr. Moak Chuen, 21, was going to gather wood at Chran Bak, in former war zone. The ox will be eaten by mourners at the funeral.
