Boeung Kak Lake Appealing in the Desert?

About 200 members of the Boeung Kak Lake community, joined by the Pochentong community also under threat of an eviction, staged a demonstration in the sand of the filled-up Boeung Kak, carrying huge S.O.S. banners with photographs of President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, due to arrive tomorrow for the ASEAN meetings in Phnom Penh. Heavy police forces guarded the access roads to the community.

This is also a follow-up post on the ‘Quest for Land‘ story which is available as an iApp on iTunes.
