Boeung Kak greets Obama while Phnom Penh is stuck in ASEAN traffic jam…

The Boeung Kak Lake community continued the demonstration started the same morning in favour of Human Rights on the sands pumped in the lake by the company which evicted 3/4 of the 4000 inhabitants of the area. A big S.O.S. sign was lit with candles and overflown several times by helicopters securing the arrival of U.S. President Barack Obama participating at the ASEAN meetings held in Phnom Penh.

Meanwhile thousands of citizens of Phnom Penh were stuck in monstrous traffic jams caused by the ASEAN meetings.

This is a follow-up post on the ‘Quest for Land‘ story which is available as an iApp on iTunes.
