In the name of development, they evict them, drown them in sewage water, smother them in sand, destroy their houses, intimidate them, threaten them, despise them. It is not surprising that some prefer to give up the fight…

Phnom Penh. 23/11/2011: Relatives and friends from the Boeung Kak community at Chea Dara house after she jumped in the Mekong from the Japanese bridge the previous night because her house is going to be destroyed to make way for a road in the Shukaku Inc. development project. She has not been seen since.
