What do the Rabbits remember?

The Year of the Rabbit celebrations saw big crowds flock to the seaside for a week-long holiday, emptying Phnom Penh.

Rather different from 36 years ago… On April 17th 1975, the Khmer Rouge entered Phnom Penh and emptied the city from its inhabitants… Same result, other purpose…

Cambodia has come such a long way…

Nibbling crab, eating green mango salad, buying a reproduction of Angkor Wat made of shells and taking a nap in the back of the pick-up. What more do you need to make a Khmer happy today…
