Late again
Yesterday and today there were some brief and violent fights at Dey Krohom between inhabitants and 7NG employees dressed up as municipality’s park officers (or is it municipality park employees working for 7NG company?). I missed both incidents. They lasted maybe ten minutes each…
All that is left are broken tiles for the new sidewalk, a toppled spirit house, one or two people injured by stone throws and overheated tempers. Dialogue seems more and more difficult.On the other hand my permanent accreditation to the ECCC will be waiting for me on Feb. 4th for the pre-trial hearing of Nuon Chea, Brother Nr 2 during the Khmer Rouge regime. I am supposed to be part of the 5 or 6 strong photographers pool (and the only foreigner) allowed to take pictures of the accused during 5 minutes at the beginning of the hearing.
